Swerve Strickland: 2025 Biography, Net Worth, Family, Income

Stephon Strickland, known professionally as Swerve Strickland, is a professional wrestler and rapper, born on September 30th, 1990, in Tacoma, Washington. He is currently signed to AEW.

In his early years, Strickland excelled in football, basketball, and track and field. Following his graduation, he followed in his father’s footsteps and enlisted in the United States Army Reserve at 17, serving as a Signal Support Systems Specialist from 2008 to 2015.

Strickland began his wrestling training in 2008 at the Ground Xero Wrestling Training Academy while fulfilling his military commitments. He competed in various independent promotions, including CZW, where he secured the CZW World Heavyweight Championship and became a two-time CZW Wired TV Champion. He also performed in Lucha Underground under the popular masked persona Killshot from 2014 to 2018.

In 2017, he signed with MLW where he won the World Heavyweight Championship and had feuds with Matt Riddle, Low Ki and Sami Callihan.

In April 2019, Strickland signed with WWE, adopting the ring name Isaiah “Swerve” Scott. He competed in NXT, where he became the NXT North American Champion and was a member of the Hit Row stable. Despite a promising start and a popular act with the fans, he was surprisingly released from his contract in November 2021.

Strickland debuted in AEW in March 2022, forming a successful tag team with Keith Lee, known as Swerve In Our Glory. The duo captured the AEW World Tag Team Championship in 2022.
After parting ways with Lee, Strickland led the short-lived Mogul Embassy stable before going out on his own to achieve singles success. What followed was a deeply personal and uber-violent rivalry with Hangman Adam Page. But the pain and blood paid off as his quest for gold became undeniable and at Dynasty 2024 he defeated Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship.
He held the title for 126 days losing it to Bryan Danielson at All In London 2024.
